Parties, Portraits, and Events,
Thanks for visiting my professional galleries!
My journey in photography began when I was about five years old. My mom—part legal expert, part avid photographer—had disappeared into our tiny broom-closet-turned-darkroom for what felt like forever.
“Mom, what are you doing? When are you coming out?” I called out, in the impatient way only a five-year-old can.
Eventually, after lots of begging and a solemn promise not to open the door without permission, she let me in.
The smell hit me first—chemical, strange, unforgettable. The only light was a soft, reddish glow. But then, I saw it: an image slowly appearing in a tray of developer. It felt like magic. “I want to do that,” I thought. And honestly, I never stopped wanting to.
From that moment, I went from helping in the darkroom to shooting with 35mm film, and eventually embraced digital photography. Even now, there’s a spark of that same wonder when I load photos from a memory card to my computer and watch them appear on screen—thankfully, without the chemical smell.
Over the years, experience has been my best teacher, along with generous mentors (including my mom). I’ve been fortunate to mentor others in turn and even win in some photography contests. But what matters most to me is creating lasting, meaningful memories for the people I photograph — images that only grow more valuable with time for them, their family and their friends.
About five years ago, I began partnering with a wonderful entertainment company called Princess Parties DC—which is why so many of my images capture the pure delight children feel when they meet their favorite character in real life.
I’d love the chance to be a part of your story too, to capture important events or just quiet moments celebrating the joy, beauty, and love you have for life.
